NeoDyne have developed expertise in high voltage substation design including contestable build to ESB functional requirements. Projects completed have included 38kV Air-Insulated, 110kV Air-Insulated, 220kV GIS Power Station Interface. NeoDyne services include detail design to the level of panel schematics, detailed earth connection drawing, substation layout drawings. Design studies include insulation co-ordination, protection co-ordination, transformer regulation, earth grid design. Line, bay and transformer protection schemes have been implemented including busbar protection, impedance protection, differential protection, overcurrent and earth fault protection (directional and non-directional), neutral voltage displacement, rate of change of frequency (ROCOF), undervoltage, restricted and standby earth fault, transient earth fault. Protection schemes have been implemented using equipment from ABB, Siemens, Toshiba, Schneider, ABB. Solutions have been implemented with switchgear from various vendors including Siemens, Arteche, ABB. Design software used in substation design includes ERACS, AutoCAD Electrical, CDEGS, Strikerisk.
